Common questions

What people ask before they start

If your question isn’t here, the answer is usually on our Trust & Safety, Pricing, or Privacy pages.

Is the agreement legally binding?
A signed settlement agreement is a contract, and contracts are meant to be honored. But enforceability varies by situation and by where you live, so Elerion can't promise a court will enforce every term. This is one reason attorneys are welcome and encouraged: have a lawyer review the agreement before you sign it.
What if we don’t reach an agreement?
That’s okay — mediation is voluntary and nobody is forced into a deal. You keep your private history, and nothing you explored becomes binding just because you tried. You can step away and try again later, or take a different path such as small claims court or a lawyer. Starting a mediation never gives up any of your options.
Is Elerion giving me legal advice?
No. Elerion is a neutral mediator, not a law firm, and it does not give legal advice or represent either side. Its job is to help both of you find terms you can agree on — not to tell you what the law says or what you should do. If you want advice about your rights, talk to a lawyer; attorneys are welcome throughout the process.
Who can see what I say in my private room?
Only you and Elerion. Each side gets a private room — called a caucus — and what you share there is not carried to the other side unless you choose to put it on the table. This confidentiality firewall is core to how Elerion works and has been tested repeatedly. You can read more on our Trust & Safety page.
Can I bring my lawyer?
Yes, and we encourage it. Elerion is neutral and doesn’t give legal advice, so having your own attorney review the situation — and the final agreement before you sign — is a smart move. Mediation and good legal advice work well together.
Can I stop at any time?
Yes. Mediation is voluntary from start to finish, and you can pause or walk away whenever you want. Nothing is binding until both sides sign — consent runs both ways, so a settlement only happens when you both agree to it.
What about abusive or unsafe relationships?
Your safety comes first. Elerion screens for signs of coercion and domestic abuse, and when it’s appropriate it will point you to human help rather than press on with a deal — including the National Domestic Violence Hotline, free and available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233. Mediation is not always the right path, and you never have to work anything out with someone who is hurting you.
Is my data used to train AI or sold?
Your mediation is private. Elerion does not sell your data and does not use your dispute to advertise to you. Your conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict role-based access and full audit logging. For the details of how your information is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
How much does it cost?
Elerion is $9 per dispute — an introductory early-adopter rate — and your first mediations are free (three of them, no credit card required). A single dispute, not a monthly subscription. See the full breakdown on our Pricing page.
How is this different from a human mediator?
Elerion plays the same neutral role a human mediator does — helping both sides reach terms they can both accept — but it’s available anytime and costs far less. A traditional human mediator often runs $100 to $500 an hour, or roughly $750 to $6,000+ for a case. And a separate drafting engine writes the final agreement, which will refuse to draft illegal or coercive terms and won’t invent facts.

Elerion is operated by Mylo Prime LLC. It is a neutral mediator, not a law firm, and does not give legal advice. A signed settlement agreement is a contract, and enforceability varies by situation and place — have a lawyer review it before you sign.
